Andreas Klein (58) will take up his position as Managing Director of Gigant GmbH in Dinklage on 4 November 2024. The graduate mechanical engineer previously worked for many years in various cross-functional management roles at automotive supplier ZF, including in China and the USA. Klein held a management position at Schmitz Cargobull AG from 2015 to 2018. He then concentrated on the automotive and manufacturing focus sectors as a consultant.
In his new role at Gigant, Klein is focussing on ensuring the company's profitable growth by exploiting cost-cutting potential, expanding the customer base and extending the product portfolio. Andreas Klein: ‘As an innovative solution provider for axle systems, Gigant offers exciting conditions for the next development steps. I am looking forward to taking on this challenge together with the Gigant team and thus making an important contribution to implementing the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group's key themes - electrification, digitalization, automation and sustainability.’
Gigant GmbH has been producing customised axle system solutions for a wide range of commercial vehicle trailers since 1953. Gigant has been part of the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group since 2013 and also manufactures axles for KRONE trailers, among other things. The diverse product range extends from light axles with axle loads of 5.5 tons to heavy-duty and low-loader axles with axle loads of 12 tons. Gigant currently employs more than 200 people on a production area of 59,000 m² and sells its products in over 75 countries worldwide.
