Box-type semitrailers with telematics secure international transport

Werlte, March 27th, 2016 – The Krone Commercial Vehicles Group has delivered ten semitrailers from the Dry Liner dry case model series to Benway Marine & Logistics GmbH & Co. KG. The purchase of ten dry case models from Werlte helps the Benway fleet from Papenburg to continue on the road to success. The lightweight design of the dry case semitrailer allows the new vehicles to save fuel and the integrated telematics system makes them intelligent. By means of sensors, dispatchers at the office can monitor the location, the coupling status of the box-type semitrailer with the tractor unit and the opening of the doors. The Krone telematics system checks the operating data and reports any errors from the brake system. Real-time monitoring of the vehicles makes the transport of goods transparent, traceable and secure. "We decided to go for the Krone Telematics KSC Pro Dry 1, since our international liner service must transport customer goods as well as customer data reliably and safely on a daily basis", says Arno Djuren, Managing Director of Benway Marine & Logistics GmbH & Co. KG. The two companies from Emsland are long-standing partners: Most of the Benway Marine & Logistics GmbH & Co. KG fleet consists of trailers from the Krone Commercial Vehicles Group in Werlte.
