Hermes Germany modernizes infrastructure with high-strength Krone swap bodies
Werlte, July 2017. Hermes Germany has spent a hundred million Euros on new locations. Seaco Global, known as a specialized division of the world’s biggest container rental operator, has enlarged its fleet with the addition of 2.300 Krone swap bodies for rental to Hermes. The first 300 units were handed over in Bad Rappenau at the opening of Hermes’ logistics hub - eight additional hubs are to follow. Volker Stenzel, who is Head of Equipment & Carrier at Hermes Germany, emphasizes the importance of their choice to partner with Seaco Global and Krone. “A fresh infrastructure with reliable products perfectly matches the customers’ requirements and makes shipping safer, faster and smoother.” Seaco Global’s fleet is made of 90 % swap bodies equipped with shutter doors. Hermes mainly uses the codified swap bodies for road and rail transport. “The fleet of Krone swap bodies Seaco Global rents to Hermes have reinforced side panels, which guarantee strength and longevity in the rental business,“ says Ingo Geerdes, Head of Key Account Management, Krone Fleet & Krone Used. Geerdes, Volker Stenzel, Head of Equipment and Carrier, Hermes Germany GmbH, Stephan Richter, Managing Director of National Rental by Seaco and Bernd Brüggen, Managing Director of Krone Commercial Vehicles Group, happily concluded the contract.
