At the end of April, the German Road Haulage, Logistics and Waste Disposal Association (in German: BGL) was provided with a flexible swap system from Krone. The combination consists of the container chassis Box Liner eLTU 50 and a Krone swap body, which is converted into a shop box. The custom-built system will soon be complemented by an interchangeable flatbed that has been converted so that it can be used as a stage for events. BGL board spokesman Professor Dr. Dirk Engelhardt took over the combination at the Krone location in Spelle from Bernard Krone, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Dr. Frank Albers, Managing Director Sales and Marketing of the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group. Bernard Krone said during the handover: "The association work of the BGL is immensely important in order to give the transport industry a voice, especially in politics. Especially in these difficult times for transport logistics, characterised by the international market, social dumping, unfair competitive conditions and serious driver shortages, it is elementary that the BGL is active in the public and thus at many events. It is therefore a matter of course for us to support the BGL with our vehicles in its activities for the transport and logistics industry." Professor Engelhardt expressed his gratitude for the good cooperation: "The BGL can now present itself even better at events. With this mobile unit, we are able to quickly address the target groups that are important for our trade on site. Especially in times of severe driver shortages, we can thus also inspire young people - and do so directly with this ultra-modern, appealing vehicle combination from Krone."
