500th Krone box trailer for Dachser France

Werlte/Clermont-Ferrand, July 2016 – The overall 500th Krone box trailer was recently officially handed over by Ingo Geerdes, Krone Director Key Account Management, to Frédéric Jurado and Philippe Ricard from Dachser France. The semitrailers are vehicles from the robust Dry Liner model series, with side walls made of clinched steel cassettes as well as keyhole plates on the inside. In addition to excellent stability, these trailers exhibit great versatility. In the name of the whole Krone team, Ingo Geerdes thanked both the Dachser team in France as well as Elmar Fünfer and Christian Schütz from the headquarters in Kempten for their trust in Krone and emphasised the established partnership between Dachser and Krone. "For more than two decades, a constructive dialogue between equals has been maintained by Dachser and Krone. Together with the headquarters in Kempten and including the responsible persons at Dachser in various countries, as well as in close cooperation with our designers, suggestions and wishes are discussed and ultimately, practicable vehicle features are developed for the corresponding markets", explained Geerdes. Frédéric Jurado, Network Director at Dachser France, also expressed this opinion. "In our organisation, the semitrailer is key to the efficiency of our transport planning. In the parcel delivery sector, the trailer is the connection between two Dachser subsidiaries; it ensures the perfect continuity that is appreciated by our customers. We are grateful that we enjoy a true partnership with Krone, and that we can add our input to the development of efficient and innovative transport solutions." Examples for the joint implementation of projects are the geo-tracking system, incl. monitoring of the door operation, or an innovative system of locking rods (e.g. for clothing transport). Furthermore, the semitrailers are equipped with an additional third brake light above the rear door; this increases road safety and can help to prevent rear-impact collisions. The Dachser France fleet comprises a total of 1200 semitrailers, of which 700 have double-deck equipment for optimal use of the loading capacity. About Dachser:
