Krone's new building materials trailer
Werlte, February 2016 – With its newly designed building material trailer – Load Carrier – Krone offers a robust and practically-oriented vehicle which has been specially tailored to meet the specific requirements of building materials transportation. The exceptional stability of the two-axle trailer is achieved thanks to the torsion-resistant chassis - with 30 mm thick, waterproof and sealed phenolic floor plates. The anodised alloy side walls (1,000 mm high) each with two tailgate flaps are easy to fold down or to remove and have continuous tie rods for additional stability and security fitted as standard. The folding steps integrated into the drop-sides are also standard. New for the side walls is the optional drop-side lifting aid. Using this, the operating forces are significantly reduced; this takes the strain off the drivers (and also their backs) during their daily work. The drop-side lifting aid can also be retrofitted to older vehicles. The steel bulkhead is reinforced on the inside with a phenolic plate; if desired, a bulkhead compartment for edge protectors can be supplied. For maximum load security, Krone recommends Multi Rail, a lashing rail integrated into the centre of the floor which, in conjunction with the Multi Lock external frame, offers many possible lashing points. The large plastic toolbox is also practical. It is integrated behind the side guard. Plug-in posts, e.g., for KG pipe transport, can also be supplied. A box to carry these posts rounds off this equipment option. The tare weight of the construction material Load Carrier is approx. 3,500 kg. This means there is approx. 14,500 kg of payload. Cargo space lengths of 6,500 mm, 6,900 mm, 7,100 mm and 7,300 mm are available, the cargo space width is 2,480 mm.
